14th Annual Recognition and Awards Dinner
June 7, 2010

Horizons for Homeless Children held its 14th Annual Recognition and Awards Dinner recently at The Colonnade Hotel in Boston. The event acknowledged the hundreds of Playspace Activity Leaders (PALs), volunteers who spend time with homeless children each week, as well as the companies, partnering agencies and staff who support Horizons for Homeless Children in our efforts to improve the quality of life for homeless children.

The event included an address by Congresswoman Niki Tsongas, who was also presented with the 2010 Public Leadership Award. HHC Chair of the Board, Susan Whitehead was honored with the 2010 Horizons for Homeless Children Award. There was a musical performance by Kiesza, a Berklee College of Music student who wrote and performed a song about homelessness. In attendance at the event were over 300 people who traveled to Boston from all over Massachusetts to celebrate the accomplishments of the organization over the last year and receive recognition for their diligence and commitment to Horizons for Homeless Children.
