Horizons for Homeless Children invites you to submit a proposal to present at our 5th Young Children Without Homes National Conference. The conference will be held on June 15, 2010 at the Hogan Campus Center of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
We are currently accepting applications from a wide range of individuals with diverse backgrounds including providers of early care and education services; providers of homeless services; health professionals; public school teachers/administrators; homeless education liaisons; Head Start providers; policymakers; legislators and more. Horizons for Homeless Children strongly encourages all interested individuals to submit an application.
Workshop Sessions:
Sessions will be 90 minutes or 2 hours in length and an average size of 50 individuals. Presenters may be asked to present twice on the same day. Please indicate on the application if you are unwilling or unable to present more than once. Each individual may submit a proposal for no more than two separate workshops.
Presenter Information:
Presenters will not be offered monetary compensation for their time, however complimentary registration for the Conference will be provided. Additional expenses related to lodging, meals and travel are the responsibility of the presenter. Fees associated with A/V and duplicating services are also the responsibility of each presenter. Horizons for Homeless Children reserves the right to edit and publish material for conference materials including brochure and program book.
Selection Process:
Proposals must be received by February 26, 2010. Proposals will be selected by a committee on the basis of content and quality of proposals, adherence to guidelines, qualifications of the presenter and contribution to the conference. Upon final decisions, selected presenters will be contacted via electronic mail. Additionally, selected presenters will receive details about the time of their workshop session.
